As a MAEAP Technician, I work directly with agricultural producers and landowners to assess their farm/land operations for environmental risks and best management practices. My role involves conducting on-site visits to evaluate farms/lands, providing educational resources and technical assistance to help producers implement sustainable practices, and guiding them through achieving MAEAP verification. I collaborate with producers to develop customized plans that address environmental concerns such as soil erosion, water quality, and nutrient management. By facilitating adopting environmentally responsible practices, I contribute to promoting sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship within the Central U.P.’s communities.
